HealthIQ™ Risk Intelligence
What Is HealthIQ
HealthIQ™ integrates three peer-reviewed clinical risk frameworks:
2024 AHA PREVENT™ Equations — The American Heart Association’s most current predictive model for cardiovascular disease, estimating 10-year and 30-year risk across three outcome categories: Total Cardiovascular Disease (CVD), Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease (ASCVD), and Heart Failure (HF). PREVENT incorporates kidney function (eGFR) as a novel risk variable and represents a significant methodological advance over prior models in capturing cardiometabolic risk across diverse populations.
2013 ACC/AHA Pooled Cohort Equations (PCE) — The long-standing standard for 10-year ASCVD risk estimation, activated automatically when eGFR is not provided. The tool also generates a Lifetime Risk estimate under this model, offering a longer horizon view of cardiovascular vulnerability.
Modified ADA Diabetes Risk Estimator — Based on the American Diabetes Association’s validated screening instrument, extended here to incorporate tobacco use and dyslipidemia (Total Cholesterol > 200 mg/dL or HDL < 40 mg/dL) — factors supported by clinical literature as meaningful contributors to cardiometabolic risk. The score is presented on an 11-point scale, with risk stratification from Low to Very High.
Taken together, the tool focuses on the two chronic disease categories responsible for the greatest burden of preventable illness and death in the United States: cardiovascular disease (the leading cause of death) and type 2 diabetes (affecting over 37 million Americans, with another 96 million in prediabetes).
What It Produces
Based on basic clinical markers such as age, sex, blood pressure, cholesterol, kidney function, weight, and height, along with lifestyle and history factors — HealthIQ™ generates:
- Quantified risk estimates across multiple time horizons (10-year and 30-year)
- Risk stratification (Low / Borderline / Intermediate / High) aligned with clinical guidelines
- A personalized action plan drawing from AHA and ADA evidence-based recommendations, tailored dynamically to the individual’s specific risk profile
Who It’s For
HealthIQ™ is designed to be accessible to anyone curious about their cardiometabolic health. It requires no clinical training to use. It is particularly useful to anyone who is interested in learning about their health risks and how to improve them, healthcare professionals, and researchers interested in population health tools that translate clinical risk science into actionable individual guidance.

Privacy Statement
Privacy Is Inherent to How This Tool Works
HealthIQ™ was built with privacy as a design principle, not an afterthought. All calculations performed by this tool — including every value that is entered and every risk estimate generated — occur entirely within the user’s browser. No data is transmitted to any server. No information is stored, logged, or retained anywhere outside the user’s device.
When the browser is closed or the user navigates away from this page, the inputs and the outputs are gone. Nothing is saved.
What Does and Doesn’t Leave The User’s Device
| What happens | Transmitted? |
| Clinical inputs (age, BP, cholesterol, etc.) | ❌ Never |
| Risk scores and results | ❌ Never |
| Personalized action plan content | ❌ Never |
| Page visit (anonymous, no personal data) | ✅ Yes — see below |
The only data that leaves the browser is a single anonymous page-view ping to Plausible Analytics, a privacy-focused, cookie-free analytics service. This records only that someone visited the page — not who visited, not what was entered, not what results were received. No cookies are set. No user profile is created.
No Account. No Tracking. No Ads.
This tool requires no login, collects no personal information, and is ad-free. HealthCare Analytics does not sell data and does not use behavioral tracking on this page.
For Clinical Use
Because no PHI (Protected Health Information) is transmitted or stored by this tool, it does not create HIPAA obligations for the user or their organization in the context of its use here. The calculations happen locally, the data stays local.

Take HealthIQ™ With You
The web calculator provides a snapshot. The HealthIQ™ mobile app will provide the full picture.
With the app, a user can track how their risk profile changes over time. See the impact of lifestyle improvements on their numbers. Get reminders, trend charts, and a more complete personalized health picture — all with the same privacy-first, locally-processed architecture.
A Note on Scope
This web tool is an educational demonstration. The full HealthIQ™ mobile application — available soon on the Apple App Store and Google Play — offers a significantly more robust experience, including progress tracking over time, historical trending of risk profile, and enhanced personalization features. If you’re a clinician, health plan, or institution interested in how tools like this can be integrated into patient engagement or population health workflows, we’d welcome the conversation.
